My journey to becoming a personal trainer began with my own struggle to incorporate fitness into my life after having two babies. I was exhausted, busy and trying to lose a stubborn 30 lbs. of pregnancy weight. I needed a solution that would work with my lifestyle and I didn’t know where to begin.  

My struggle is not unique: we all lead busy lives, balancing important demands of family, work, and community. With these competing demands on our time, it can feel impossible to reach our fitness goals, whether that is managing weight, reducing pain, building muscle, or training for an event. It can be particularly difficult if you don’t know where to begin, feel intimidated by fitness or had a bad experience with exercise in the past. 

When I found myself in this position, I needed an exercise program with nutritional guidelines that were specific to my lifestyle, preferences and goals. With a trainer’s expertise and my determination, I had enormous success. My drive to learn about health and fitness and help others do the same transitioned from an interest into a career.
